#STYLEDBYAVEDA Hairstyle Series: 3 Different Looks
Personal style blogger and #AvedaPartner Lua Perez-Garreaud —founder of Le-Happy.com— shows off this summer’s edgy new hairstyles in this June 2, 2016 post:
A couple of weeks ago Aveda invited me to FOURTEENJAY in Tribeca, NYC to learn three new hairstylesfor summer. Co-owner, Frank Rizzieri and I went through some inspiration photos I gathered and we created three different looks for three different occasions with my favorite products by them! It was so fun and the looks are so easy to recreate, hope you guys like them!
Romantic Look : Braided Updo
For the first look we went for some Romantic Vibes and I got an up do with braids incorporated. The look was achieved by using Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo to make my hair more maneagable.. I love the tousled yet polished look and how it matched my long crochet dress.
Dramatic look: Knotted Bun
For the second look, I got a dramatic bun, basically made of many knots all together. Frank sprayed my hair with Aveda Thickening Tonic to add thickness to my strands andvolume to my hair and then pulled it into a ponytail. He then knotted different strands with each other. The result was a gothic bun that reminded me of the 90s. The best part is that it looks messy yet it stays put all day as its very tightly put together. I’m so obsessed with this one and I definitely plan to recreate it at home.
Bohemian Casual Look: Beachy waved braids
For the third look I got two French braids up to the neck secured with transparent elastic bands and then some beachy waves in the other half part. It gave my look some sort of bohemian vibe which I love because it was such a simple outfit. I particularly loved how the waves turned out made using the Thickening Tonic to give texture to the hair for the braids. Then he used the Brilliant Damage Control spray to help protect it from thermal heat and did some waves with a curling wand.
I couldn’t be more thrilled with how these looks turned out. Which one is your favorite? Below you can see the products we used!
Brilliant Damage Control, Shampure Dry Shampoo, Thickening Tonic.
Thank you to Aveda for teaching me some new hairstyles and for partnering with me on this post!
